About me :
Born in Waterloo, New York and raised in Marana, Arizona, Kyle Ripton had spent his early years creating short stories and drawing for family and friends. Kyle spent his summers building tree forts and thinking up new stories to write about. He vividly remembers watching Hogan's Heroes and Gilligan's Island while playing with his little green army men and dreaming of the day he grows up and can be a soldier himself. Ever since his earliest days, he was fascinated with writing and acting as well as the military way of life.
Kyle left Arizona in 1986 to attend Army Basic Training in South Carolina. He then moved onto advanced training at the Fort McClellan, Alabama where he graduated from Military Police School and was shipped over to Germany. However, he could not escape the allure of books and his love for the big screen and quickly began writing down all the thoughts that came to him as it happened in real life as well as writing lyrics and music. He began reading every screenplay he could find and learning to write manuscripts to later publish while listening to different bands practicing in the sound rooms of studios. From romance novels to contemporary film, Kyle's love of writing, acting, and singing was uncontrollable. Kyle soon auditioned for a lead singers position with the band "Alert" and soon took on the lead singers position to get enough money to buy a computer for writing his novels.
Kyle was excited to be in Germany as a soldier serving his country proudly and a singer, where he could study people, and listen to their stories and write about them while singing for the band. "I became a student of life", he recalls. Two years later, Kyle married, left the band, and was honorably discharged when his tour of duty ended and he returned to Arizona where he divorced his first wife of three years. Kyle then continued his writing of short stories and screenplays while auditioning for any production that would see him. Although he didn't land any big parts, Kyle still pursued his writing career, while producing and directing many of his own films for the silver screen.
It wasn't 2009 that he landed a major role as the director / producer / actor of his first documentary film "Desperate Situation, Broken of Distinguished Insanity." Kyle went on to direct and produce the full feature horror film "The Coin Collector" in 2010 a blockbuster thriller, and is currently producing and directing the movies "Tunnels, what we did as kids" and "The TaberNackey Express," earning him considerable acclaim and earned several glowing reviews. Since that time, Kyle has appeared around the United States at book signing fairs.
Kyle is now working on his first leading role in a major motion picture, which is due to be completed early 2011. "Kyle's love of writing and acting is infectious", said one fan at a recent film shoot, "Once you see him work, you want to find everything that he has appeared in".
