From his first event promotion in 1986 - a school leaving party for 2000 people - MATT SOLO found his destiny was determined.
Less than three years later, he was managing a group of British DJs and forging connections with clubs that still stand strong today. By the early 90s, he was running a London record store, staging his own events and helping others promote theirs.
It was not until 1996 that he turned his attention to the other side of the decks and his alter ego – MATT PROMO - was born.
Just over 10 years later, PROMO fulfilled a personal dream and organized his most audacious event yet. A successful attempt on the Guinness World Record for the Longest DJ (Club) Session Marathon clocking in at a staggering 87 hours of continuous DJing in a purpose built venue.
